At the Detroit Bulldogs Hockey Club, we believe that hockey is more than just a game — it’s a community, a culture, and for many kids, a pathway to confidence, growth, and opportunity. But let’s be real: hockey is expensive. From skates and sticks to pads and helmets, the cost of gear can keep young players on the sidelines.
That’s where you come in.
When you donate your gently used hockey equipment to the Bulldogs, you’re doing more than clearing out space in your garage — you’re helping a kid take their first stride onto the ice. You’re giving a family one less barrier to entry. You’re building the next wave of Detroit hockey.
Here’s what your donation really does:
1. Opens the Door to More Players
Some kids dream of playing hockey but never get the chance because of the price tag. Donating gear levels the playing field and makes the game more inclusive.
2. Promotes Sustainability
Why let perfectly good gear collect dust when it could be back in action? Reusing equipment cuts down on waste and helps our community stay green — and gritty.
3. Builds a Stronger Hockey Community
When our rinks are full of players from every background, the game gets better. It becomes about heart, hustle, and hometown pride — not who can afford the newest stick.
4. Gives Back to the Game You Love
If you’ve ever played, you know how much hockey can give you: friendships, life lessons, a sense of purpose. Donating gear is a small way to return the favor.
How to Donate
Drop off your equipment at ESH Arena anytime Monday through Friday between 9 AM and 5 PM. We’ll inspect and sort everything to ensure it’s game-ready for our players.
From mini-mites to midget-level skaters, every piece of donated gear brings us one step closer to building a stronger, more united Detroit hockey scene.
Thank you for supporting the Bulldogs. Let’s keep growing the game — together.
