5U (2019)

Skill development station-based practices on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Practices always include a “game” based station. Cross Ice games, both inhouse and against other Metro Detroit associations will be arranged in the second half of the season. Teams will be divided evenly based on attendance and/or limit for each event. There may be a nominal fee for Away events.

General Bulldogs 8U Hockey communication will come through Bulldogs Hockey weekly Constant Contact email.

6U (2018)

Skill development station based practices Wednesdays and most Saturdays. Players will have the opportunity to participate in several Cross Ice jamborees and Half Ice scrimmage games, both inhouse and against other Metro Detroit associations. Teams will be evenly divided based on attendance and/or limit for each event. There may be a nominal fee for Away events.

• General Bulldogs 8U Hockey communication will come through Bulldogs Hockey weekly Constant Contact email.
• •Communication specific to the 2018 group will come through 6U Manager. This will likely be email and would be for event sign up, getting attendance in advance of an event, etc.

7U (2017) & 8U (2016)

Separate birth year skill development station based practices on Wednesdays. All ‘17 and ‘16 players will be placed on evenly divided or drafted Mite teams of evenly mixed ages. Teams play in an inhouse Half Ice league. Games are on most Saturdays through the season with playoffs at the end. Teams will also compete in annual Christmas Pond Hockey and MLK Half Ice Tournaments.

Players must be registered for Full Season to be put on a Mite team.

General Bulldogs 8U Hockey communication will come through Bulldogs Hockey weekly Constant Contact email.

Communication specific to individual Half Ice Mite teams will come through individual teams. This is primarily for reminders of Saturday time, who’s playing goalie, etc.

BULLDOGS 8U GIRLS (2016-2019)

-girls only

Bulldogs 8U Hockey Full Season registration is required to participate in the Bulldogs 8U Girls Program.

Players will participate in girls only 6U and 8U events, both inhouse and against other Metro Detroit associations. Bulldogs 8U Girls operate in conjunction with Bulldogs 8U Hockey, and participate with boys on regularly scheduled 8U days. A 2016/2017 team will hold practices and games and will be scheduled and incur fees specific to Bulldogs 8U Girls (ice, jerseys, tournaments, etc) will be billed and collected by Bulldogs 8U Girls Manager.

‘16 Muskies – ‘17 Muskies

Bulldogs 8U Hockey Full Season registration is required to participate with the ’16 Muskies, and ’17 Muskies

Muskies are 7U (2017) and 8U (2016) travel teams that will age up to Bulldogs Gold at 10U.

These franchises (Muskies) will hold tryouts in the last two weeks of March for Spring teams. Spring program is determined by individual teams, typically April 1 to the week before Memorial Day, 1-2 days per week, 4-10 scrimmages Home or Away, 1-2 local tournaments.

Fall ‘24/’25 rosters will be decided and communicated by individual teams’ Head Coach and/or Franchise Holder after Spring.

Muskies teams will have 1-2 days per week for practices and Home games. Muskies play in the AAU league. League is separated by birth year, divisions are based on caliber, divisions include teams from Metro Detroit. Muskies will play 20-30 games, 1-2 Full Ice tournaments, 1-2 Half Ice tournaments.

Muskies teams operate in conjunction with but financially separate than Bulldogs 8U Hockey, fees (ice, jerseys, tournaments, refs, etc) specific to individual Muskies teams will be billed and collected by individual teams’ managers.

Walleyes Program (2016 & 2017)

Bulldogs 8U Hockey Full Season registration is required to participate in the Walleyes third day/supplemental program

3rd Day option for 2016 or 2017 players not participating on the Muskies. Spring program is determined by interest and coaching availability. This is historically a mixed age group team, but if there are enough players at each age, they will be separated as such. The focus is on preparing for Full Ice hockey at 10U and developing players for Bulldogs Silver travel teams at 10U. Walleye 2016 franchise will age up to Bulldogs Silver at 10U in Spring ‘25. *Bulldogs Silver 10U Travel teams are tryout/cut teams. Tryouts will be held in March.

Walleyes have 1 day per week for practices and Home games. Walleyes will play 10-15 games Home or Away, 1-2 tournaments all locally in metro Detroit. Games/tournaments will be a mix of Full Ice and Half Ice.

Walleyes is an individual sign up, no tryout program. Number of players will be capped at 20, or 2 teams of age at a minimum 10 players each. Players will possibly be grouped in different ways for different events.

Walleyes is in conjunction with Bulldogs 8U Hockey, fees (ice, jerseys, tournaments, refs, etc) specific to Walleyes players will be billed and collected by Walleyes Manager.
