Current JackPot: $6,500+

Tutorial

Step 1: Purchase Tickets

Tickets are $5 each and can be purchased in person at Marge’s Bar & Grill or online at bulldogshockeyclub.org/jackofspades.
Each ticket includes your name and a number corresponding to a sealed envelope on the official game board.

Step 2: Weekly Drawing

Every Saturday at 8 PM, one ticket is drawn at random. The name on that ticket gets to select one of the remaining numbered envelopes on the board. Each envelope contains a playing card from a standard deck.

Step 3: Reveal the Card
  • If the card inside the chosen envelope is the Jack of Spades, you win 50% of the total jackpot.

  • If you draw any other Jack, you win $100.

  • If you draw an Ace, you win $50.

  • If you draw any number card, you receive free tickets for the next drawing.

If the Jack of Spades is not drawn, the envelope is removed, the pot rolls over, and the jackpot grows for the following week.

Step 4: You Do Not Need to Be Present to Win

All winners will be notified after the drawing. Drawings take place every Saturday at 8 PM at Marge’s Bar & Grill, 15300 Mack Ave, Grosse Pointe, MI.

Step 5: Supporting a Good Cause

Half of the proceeds go directly to the winner, while the remaining funds support East Side Youth Sports Foundation programs that help keep local kids active and engaged in sports.

Jack of Spades Raffle: Frequently Asked Questions

Question Answer
What is the goal of the raffle?

Where can I find a list of unavailable numbers?

Where can I find out how much the jackpot is?

What is the process for turning in my ticket stubs?

What if I purchased a ticket online?

To be the weekly winner whose selected envelope contains the Jack of Spades.

Every Saturday night after the drawing, this page will be updated with a list of unavailable numbers (i.e. numbers that have already been chosen)

At the top of this page!

You have three options – Return to the ESH Ice Arena on Saturday afternoons by 4:00pm, bring your tickets to Marge’s Bar on Saturday nights by 8:00pm, or designate a team representative to handle this on your behalf. For more info, see #3 – Turning in Your Ticket in the instructions.

Each Saturday prior to the weekly drawing, we will pull an export of ticket purchasers and apply these to ticket stubs that will be included in the drum for that week’s drawing!

What is the “Progressive Jackpot”? It is the main prize money that grows each week the Jack of Spades is not found. A portion of every ticket sold is added to this grand prize.
How do I win? You win in two ways: 1) Your ticket is drawn as the weekly winner (and you take home the small weekly prize). 2) The card revealed from your pre-selected envelope is the Jack of Spades (and you win the entire progressive jackpot).
Do I have to be present to win? No. You must pre-select an envelope number when you buy your ticket. If your ticket is drawn, the organizer will open your selected envelope for you, and you will be notified if you won the weekly prize or the jackpot. If you do not pre-select a ticket, we will randomly select a number for you of the available numbers via a random number generator.
What happens if my card is NOT the Jack of Spades?

What if I forget or miss the deadline for turning in stubs I sold for any given week?

You could still win a prize if you draw a Jack or an Ace! The card you picked is removed from the board, and the main jackpot rolls over and grows for the following week.

You should turn in your tickets per the instructions on #3 – Turning in Your ticket. If you miss the deadline for that week, the purchaser misses the opportunity to be included in that weeks drawing, risking the possible opening of the envelope that contains the Jack of Spades.

How long will the raffle last? It will last until the Jack of Spades is finally drawn. Since there are 52 cards, it could potentially last up to 52 weeks, but it could end on the very first week!
Do the odds change? Yes! Every week a non-Jack of Spades card is removed, the total number of cards left on the board decreases, meaning your odds of picking the Jack of Spades get better each week.
